UPSC Geo Scientist Age Limit: 21 to 32 years as on 1 January 2023. That means he/she should have been born before 2 January 1991 and before 1 January 2002.

UPSC Geo Scientist Eligibility Criteria:
✔️ Chemist Gr ‘A’ and Scientist ‘B’ (Chemical): M. Sc. in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry from a University incorporated by Act of Parliament or other educational institutions established by Act of Parliament or State Legislature or Act of Parliament or other educational institutions declared as Deemed Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, i.e. recognized University.
✔️ Scientist ‘B’ (Hydrogeology):
Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology or Hydrogeology from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature of India or other educational institution established or declared by an Act of Parliament as per Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 Considered as universities
✔️ Scientist ‘B’ (Geophysics):
Master of Science Degree in Physics or Applied Physics or Geophysics or Applied Geophysics or Marine Geophysics or Integrated M.Sc. (Exploratory Geophysics) or M.Sc (Technology) (Applied Geophysics) University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
UPSC Jio Scientist Application Fee:
Candidates have to pay the fee of ₹ 200/- by depositing through cash in any branch of SBI or by using net banking facility of SBI (State Bank of India) or by using Visa. / Master Credit / Debit Card. No fee for Female / SC / ST / PH candidates.
UPSC Geo Scientist Selection Process:
✔️ Stage-I: Combined Geo-Scientist (Preliminary) Examination (Objective Type) Two papers for selection of candidates for Combined Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination. The marks obtained in the preliminary examination will be counted to determine the final merit.
✔️ Stage-II : There will be three papers for selection of candidates for Combined Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination (Descriptive Type) Personality Test (Stage-III). The marks secured in the main examination will be counted to determine the final merit.
✔️ Stage-III: Personality Test/Interview.
