NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 38 of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (Act No. 35 of 2009), the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby make the following amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Rules, 2010 Issued in G.O.Ms.No. 20, School Education (P.E-Progs.1) Dept., dt. 03.03.2011, as subsequently amended from time to time:-

AMENDMENT

In the said Rules, after rule 29, the following shall be added, namely,-

*30. Deployment of Teachers for non-educational purposes.

1. In consonance with the provisions in Section 27 of the Act, and to further strengthen the same;

a. Teachers shall focus and dedicate their time in the core activity of teaching to improve the academic achievement levels of children relating to their class and age

b. As far as possible, teachers shall not be engaged In or drafted for any activity other than teaching and other academic related activities in schools

c. In the event of any unavoidable circumstances, it shall be ensured that teachers are engaged in non-academic activity, only after all staff of other Government departments are deployed and still there is a need for further staff to meet such purposes”
