The attention of all the District Educational Officers in the state is invited to the reference cited where in they were requested to implement the Innovative program “Learn A Word A Day with an objective of ensuring best vocabulary in English among the students from class 1 to 10.
Therefore, all the District Educational Officers in the state are requested to communicate the action plan along with suggested guidelines to all teachers and headmasters of all schools under all managements with an instruction to implement the programy “LEARN A WORD A DAY across the state from 01- 04-2023 to 30-04-2023 duly following the guidelines scrupulously.

(Classes – 1 to 2)

➢ For grade 1 students focus on Pronunciation of English word and Spelling.
➢ For grade 2 students encourage them to learn Spelling as well Meaning.

(Classes – 3, 4 & 5)

• Student has to find the word from the ‘Primary Level Illustrated Dictionary’
• Student has to learn pronunciation, parts of speech, meaning and usage by using dictionary.
Level – 3
(Classes – 6 to 8)

• Student has to find the word from Oxford dictionary
• Encourage the students to learn right pronunciation, spelling, parts of the
speech, different meanings that the word has, usage sentences, other form of the word.
• Encourage them to use the word in their own sentences.
Level – 4
(Classes – 9 to 10)

• Student has to find the word from Oxford dictionary
