Learn a Word A Day June 2023 Words list
• In the assembly, one word will be announced each day.
• In the primary period, the class educator will compose the word and its importance on the side of the chalkboard.
• During the English class, the teacher will talk about the word, its pronunciation, spelling, parts of speech, and its meaning in both languages. She will also talk about any other forms of the word and how it is used. Using a pencil, students will highlight the word in the dictionary.
• In order to keep their “My Own Dictionary,” which is their copy of the word, students are required to copy it in a separate notebook of 100 pages, which is frequently checked by the teacher.
level 1: Oral repetition of the English word and its Telugu equivalent. With a pencil, students are required to circle the word’ in the dictionary.
level 2, level 3, and level 4: The teacher will explain the word, its pronunciation, spelling, parts of speech, and its meaning in both languages, as well as any alternative spellings or usages. Using a pencil, students will highlight the word in the dictionary.
• In their interactions with students or during any other activity in the classroom, every teacher ought to make use of that word as frequently as possible.
• Throughout the remainder of the day, the same word will be used.
• A word could be displayed every day at the corner of the green board in the classroom, on the veranda, or at the school assembly.
• Practicing the word for the first five minutes of the period is the responsibility of every teacher. The word and its meaning are to be repeated by students. The word will preferably be used in practice by an English teacher.
• The dictionaries and notebooks of the students will also be examined by monitoring officers.
• An assessment will be carried out each fortnight (15 days) in the form of a game called “Spell Bee.” The Spell Bee activity will make use of the words that were taught during the fortnight.
