Allotment of DSC-2008 & 1998 Contract Teachers in the needy schools after completion of transfers – Certain instructions issued

The State’s District Educational Officers are urged to read reference 7, which informs them that the government has granted permission to extend the DSC 1998 contract teachers’ employment for an additional 11 months, beginning on June 1, 2023, and ending on April 30, 2024, with a one-month break, in principle as “no work – no pay,” in order to ensure the smooth operation of academic class work and administrative tasks in the Government school, in a manner analogous to that which was granted to DSC-2008 contract teachers II), have been completed for School Assistants (SAs), Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs), and equivalent categories employed in the state’s government, Zilla Praja Parishad, and Mandal Praja Parishad schools.

In addition, the IT unit has already communicated the details of the open positions in each cadre following transfer counseling.

As a result, all District Educational Officers in the state are hereby instructed to counsel DSC 2008 and 1998 MTS contract teachers and appropriately assign them in accordance with the following guidelines:

a. In the Foundational/Foundational School Plus, where teachers who were not relieved due to a lack of substitutes in the schools duly ensuring one regular teacher working in that particular school and adhering No. 47 and 1(a) and 1(b) in the G.O.Ms. Annex No.117 & 128.

b. In Pre-High Schools with fewer than 98 students in attendance.

c. In the Foundational/Foundational School Plus, where students aged 21 to 30 attend, one MTS will be employed.

d. To use MTS Contract Teachers as needed in the school.

e. No more than one MTS may be assigned to any school.

When assigning schools to MTS teachers, schools that are closer to their homes will receive due preference.
