About PM SHRI School
PM SHRI School is a central sponsored scheme by the Indian Government. This initiative has more than 14500 PM SHRI schools run by central government/state/UT government/local bodies including KVS and NVS, where every student feels welcome and cared for, where there is a safe and stimulating learning environment, widespread. A range of learning experiences are offered and good physical infrastructure and adequate resources conducive to learning are available to all students.
It encourages students to become engaged, productive and citizens to build an equitable, inclusive and pluralistic society as envisioned by the National Education Policy 2020.
It is estimated that more than 20 lakh students will be direct beneficiaries of this scheme. The scheme promotes awareness of the various dimensions of schooling quality and informs policy, practice and implementation. Learning from these schools can be scaled to other schools in the country.
The scheme is planning to be a period of 5 years w.e.f. 2022 – 23 to 2026 – 27
These have been selected by taking the number of students of UDISE 2021-22 as standard.
The DEO will act as the nodal officer for this scheme at the district level.
These are the benefits:
- The central government directly allocates funds to schools selected under PMS.
- Digital teaching, laboratories and other facilities are provided.
- Training is given to teachers.
- Financial and technical support will be provided for up to five years.
- On Saturday, a web conference was held for the district education officials on the work to be done immediately by HMs.
In the first step (Step-1), the schools should be registered.
The second step is the screening process.
OTP will be sent to the phone number as soon as the principal’s login is entered in the PM Shri portal. After logging in through it, you have to complete the 42 items mentioned in it.
Along with these, HM, Panchayat Secretary should upload the educational qualification documents.
Later, the central education department gives the marks to the respective schools.
60 percent marks for schools in rural areas and 70 percent marks for schools in urban areas are eligible for this scheme.
The higher officials have ordered to complete the registration process before 18th of this month.
Corporate-style education Through this scheme, corporate-style education with all facilities will be made available in some schools.

Note :-
We will send Questionnaire, Headmaster Acceptance Letter and Sarpanch Acceptance Letter to be embedded in the website. They have to be prepared in advance based on the facilities available in your school and then uploaded. Because there is a time limit for entering data on the website.
So if we prepare the data first, we can quickly embed the data in the website.
Selection Process
➯The selection is done on the basis of the answers in the questionnaire filled by each principal.
➯ Those who have scored 60% marks in schools in rural areas and 70% marks in schools in urban areas will be selected for PM SHRI schools.
➯ Your school will come under this scheme after checking the data entered by the district department officials and verifying whether it is correct.
➯Minimum marks will be assigned to the answers given by the principals. Only school with minimum marks will be selected.
School wise minimum marks
➨144 Marks for Primary School (1-5).
➨165 Marks for Primary Schools (1-8).
➨Zilla Parishad Schools (6 – 10/12 or 1-12) 160 Marks
➨ Senior Secondary Schools (1-12): 168 Marks
➨Central University: 152 Marks
➨Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas : 144 Marks.
