The number of people using these services is increasing as smartphones are available to everyone and internet charges have also come down drastically. From small tea shops to big malls, money is being accepted through UPI. With this, everyone who has a smart phone is using UPI services. It is known that in order to activate UPI services, you must have a debit card.
We activate UPI through debit card number. But without the need for a debit card, they have provided an opportunity to activate UPI with Aadhaar card as well. But for this.. the mobile number registered in the Aadhaar card and the mobile number linked to the bank account should be the same. Download BHIM UPI or any UPI-enabled app such as PayTM, Google Pay, PhonePe etc. from the Google Play Store or App Store
- First open any UPI app on your phone.
- After that select the ‘Add UPI ID’ option in the app.
- After that select ‘Aadhaar Based Verification‘ and click on Accept and Agree button.
- Then enter the first 6 numbers of your Aadhaar card.
- OTP will be sent to your mobile phone. You have to enter that OTP.
- This will activate your UPI.
