SITRANG CYCLONE ALERT  TO AP

Sitrang Cyclone approaching.. . Heavy rain till 26th.

The ongoing surface circulation over the Andaman Sea is likely to turn into a low pressure over the Bay of Bengal in the next 24 hours. Officials of the Meteorological Department said that it is likely to move towards west-northwest and become a cyclone on 22nd and then a cyclone. However, at present, there is a high possibility that this storm will change its direction from AP – Odisha and move towards Odisha-West Bengal, and if that happens, there will be no impact of rain in Telugu states, if the storm stops between AP – Odisha, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Telugu states.

అండమాన్ సముద్ర పరిసరాల్లో కొనసాగుతున్న ఉపరితల ఆవర్తనం రానున్న 24గంటల్లో బంగాళాఖాతంలో అల్పపీడనంగా మారే అవకాశం ఉంది. ఇది పశ్చిమ వాయువ్య దిశగా పయనించి 22న వాయుగుండంగా, ఆ తరువాత తుపానుగా మారే అవకాశం ఉన్నట్లు వాతావరణ శాఖ అధికారులు తెలిపారు. అయితే, ప్రస్తుతం ఈ తుపాను ఏపీ-ఒడిశా నుంచి దిశ మార్చుకొని ఒడిశా – పశ్చిమ బెంగాల్ వైపు వెళ్లే అవకాశం ఎక్కువగా ఉందని, అలా జరిగితే తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాల్లో వర్ష ప్రభావం ఉండదని, ఒకవేళ ఏపీ – ఒడిశా మధ్య తుపాను తీరందాటితే తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాల్లో భారీ వర్షాలకు అవకాశం ఉంటుందని వాతావరణ శాఖ అధికారులు పేర్కొంటున్నారు.

The surface circulation which is currently ongoing in the vicinity of North Andaman Sea is likely to turn into a low pressure over the Bay of Bengal in the next 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, it is likely to move towards the west-northwest and become a gale by 22nd and become a cyclone by 23rd.

According to meteorologists, the cycle formed in Andaman is likely to become a storm and reach the coast during the new moon, and there are indications of raging waves breaking in this sequence. If there is a situation between AP and Odisha, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in the Telugu states, the weather department officials are predicting. Meteorological department officials are predicting that there will be a chance of heavy rains from 23rd to 26th of this month, and the wind speed of 46 to 65 km per hour will be high during the turning of the cyclone into a typhoon.
